Yakutia International Science Fair: how the best projects were chosen at the poster session

On July 8, as part of the 6th International School Conference-Competition Yakutia International Science Fair, a poster session was held, which became one of the most exciting and anticipated events of YISF. Participants from different regions of Russia and foreign countries presented their scientific projects to the experts and guests of the conference.
Unlike traditional oral defenses, the poster session gave participants complete freedom in choosing the presentation format. There were no strict time frames or restrictions on the method of presenting the material – everyone could demonstrate their scientific achievements as clearly and creatively as possible. Experts and guests had a unique opportunity not only to get acquainted with the theoretical part of the projects, but also to personally see the research results, ask questions to the authors and even try some of the developments in action.
A special feature of the session was the element of public choice. Each expert and guest received three «My Choice» stickers, which could be given to the projects they liked. For this purpose, special tables were placed on the stands of the participants, where the stickers were glued. This interactive format allowed us to identify not only the opinions of the professional jury, but also the preferences of the general audience. It is noteworthy that most of the poster session guests were schoolchildren and students of the North-Eastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov, which gave the event a special atmosphere of involvement and lively interest.
For foreign participants and those who could not attend in person, the poster session was held in parallel in an online format. On a special platform, it was possible to get acquainted with the projects and vote for the works they liked.
The official summing up of the results and the announcement of the winners of the 6th International School Conference-Competition Yakutia International Science Fair will take place on July 9. The organizers note the high level of the presented projects and express gratitude to all participants, experts and guests for their active participation and support of young researchers.
