5th Yakutia International Science Fair is open

Today the 5th Yakutia International Science Fair, an international school conference-competition starts! This unique event brings together young researchers from different countries.
The first Yakutia Science Fair took place in 2018 and has become an important platform for young researchers to present their projects and meet peers from other countries.
The conference is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Sakha Junior Science Academy, and the M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University with the support of MILSET-Vostok Program and scientific institutes of Yakutsk Scientific Center, Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences.
The opening ceremony began with the national anthems of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
The conference participants were warmly welcomed by Ms. Nyurguna Sokolova, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Dr. Aleksey Golikov, Vice-Rector, M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University, Dr. Alexander Leontovich, Principal, University Gymnasium, M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, President of MILSET-Vostok Regional Branch, Dr. Vasilii Pavlov, Rector, Sakha Junior Science Academy.
We also received video greetings from students in South Africa, Indonesia, Turkey, Iran, India, Italy, Palestine, El Salvador, and various regions of Russia.
This year, the conference welcomes 151 school students from different countries. 38 participants are attending in person, while 113 are joining online.
We hope that Yakutia International Science Fair will become a memorable event for all participants, bringing new knowledge and new friends. May you always remember Yakutia’s unique beauty, rich culture, and warm hospitality.
