Participants of the VI International Yakutia International Science Fair–2025 School Conference-Competition made oral presentations. 284 schoolchildren from 11 countries of the world, including Russia, are taking part. A total of 160 projects were submitted for the competition, which are divided into four sections: mathematics, computer science and information technology; physics, astronomy and engineering; life sciences, environmental sciences and chemical sciences; social sciences and humanities.

The performances of the participants take place both in face-to-face and in remote format. Students present the results of their scientific research, share their knowledge and demonstrate real prototypes and products that can be seen and even touched. Special attention is paid to the implementation of artificial intelligence in projects, as well as the practical significance of developments to improve life in their native regions.

Social and humanitarian sciences

Dayana Ivanova presented the information and educational website “My Yakutsk”, which is already in operation and contains useful information about the sights of Yakutia. Violetta Manasytova presented a project to increase the physical activity of adolescents, not only talking about the results, but also demonstrating exercises that contribute to the formation of a healthy lifestyle. Shakti by Deveshi Agarwal from India, an initiative for the production of self—defense products for women, stood out among the foreign projects.

Life sciences, environment and chemical sciences

In this section, Diana Solovyova presented her own hygienic lipstick, created on the basis of rosehip flower hydrolate and beeswax. The experts received samples for evaluation. David Zorin spoke about the problem of pollution of Lake Tumusukan in Suntar and suggested ways to clean it, which aroused great interest among experts.

Physics, astronomy and Engineering sciences

Kristina Kulichkina has been working for three years to create biodegradable materials that completely decompose after 24 hours of use. The jury was able to get acquainted with the finished product. Stepan Gorbachev presented his own modular charging station, including a wireless version. Viktor Petrov has developed a technology for creating wood plastic, a new material for recycling household plastic. Naryana Nikitina showed a model of a shoe-washing robot assembled from a LEGO construction kit, which emphasizes the relevance of robotics in everyday life.

Mathematics, Computer Science and Information Technology

The youngest participant of YISF-2025, sixth-grader Egor Larionov, spoke about the signs of divisibility using the example of palindromes, which surprised the jury. A team from El Salvador presented the Bio Impresor de piel Humana project, a bioprinter for creating human skin based on LEGO, which opens up new opportunities for scientific research and the democratization of technology.

The work of the sections continued until late in the evening, and tomorrow the participants will have a poster session, and additional experts will join the evaluation of the projects. In addition, the Public Choice voting is starting, in which anyone can participate, both online and face-to-face.
